Loopify’s Signature Collection 2023

Fantastic Beasts of India

3 Hampers. 1 Mission.

Plastic: discarded from our homes, into theirs

Switching to a plastic diet

A recent study showed that 75% of the Himalayan brown bears’ diet consists of plastic. Plastic pollution has made its presence known across the Himalayas, reaching even the high altitude habitat of the Himalayan brown bear.

Drowning in plastic

56 tonnes of plastic waste were found in Sundarbans after a 2020 cyclone, in just one of the 50 islands. This level of plastic pollution is destroying the Royal Bengal tigers’ natural habitat.

Starved to Death

This Gangetic river dolphin died of starvation due to a plastic bottle cap ring that got caught in its snout. The Ganges river network, which is home to these dolphins forms the second-largest plastic polluting catchment in the world.

Our Mission

Protect India’s natural habitats from plastic pollution

Remove

Recycle

Frequently asked questions

How does the Signature Collection II help endangered animals?

With the purchase of any of our Signature Collection hampers, 5% of the sales are directly allocated to our trusted NGO partners. These esteemed organisations are committed to cleaning up plastic waste from critical regions such as the Himalayas, Sunderbans, and Ganga River. By supporting these initiatives, we aim to alleviate the impact of plastic pollution on endangered species like the Himalayan Bears, Sunderban Tigers, and Gangetic Dolphins.

What are these NGOs the fund will be donated to?

We are proud to collaborate with esteemed Non-profit organizations like Sanctuary Asia, Healing Himalayas, and a youth community, Kuda Bazar. These organizations have demonstrated a deep commitment to our shared mission of protecting endangered animals from the harmful effects of plastic pollution. Their years of devoted service have been instrumental in furthering this cause. By directing our donations to these trusted partners, we ensure that our efforts align with their expertise and dedication to preserving our precious wildlife.

Why did we choose these three animals: Himalayan Bears, Sunderban Tigers, and Gangetic Dolphins?

Our choice to focus on the Himalayan Bears, Sunderban Tigers, and Gangetic Dolphins stems from thorough research and careful evaluation. The Himalayan brown bears, categorized as "critically endangered" on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Red List, hold immense ecological and cultural importance. Similarly, The Royal Bengal Tigers, iconic to India and Bangladesh, are classified as endangered. The Gangetic Dolphins, also threatened by plastic pollution, face significant challenges in their survival. These three remarkable species have been greatly affected by the harmful impacts of plastic waste. By prioritizing their conservation, we aim to raise awareness and take decisive actions to combat the threats they confront.
