Nature Forever

Nature Forever

Nature Forever Society, generally referred to as NFS, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2005 that is focused on conserving common bird species such as House Sparrows. These birds are facing the threat of extinction in India. NFS aims to raise awareness on the need to save both the native flora and fauna of India. The mission of NFS is to involve the citizens in the conservation movement of India. "The mission of NFS is to involve citizens in the conservation movement of India, especially in urban landscapes. To achieve this, NFS has been launching initiatives which are simple but have far-reaching conservation value. NFS was not formed for the sake of having just another conservation organisation but more out of the need of the hour as most of the conservation organisations have historically overlooked conservation issues with regard to common flora and fauna. It was formed with a vision to involve citizens from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds and different parts of the country and the world.NFS began its work in a small way, without any sustainable source of funding support but with a belief and vision to save common flora and fauna by involving the citizen. For NFS to be successful in reducing the decline we have seen in the common flora and fauna, we need to increase our source of funding. The more sources of funds and support we have for our initiatives, the more we will be able to do for birds, wildlife and people."
