We bring all-natural, chemical-free coconut sugar from the beautiful fields of Kerala. Coconut sugar is also called coconut palm sugar. It’s a natural sugar from coconut palm sap, the coconut plant's sugary circulating fluid. It is often confused with palm sugar, which is similar but made from a different type of palm tree.

Coconut sugar is made in a natural 2-step process:
1.) A cut is made on the flower of the coconut palm, and the liquid sap is collected into containers.
2.) The sap is under heat until most water evaporates.
The end product is brown and granulated. Its colour is similar to raw sugar's, but the particle size is typically more minor or variable.

A significant benefit of coconut sugar is that it is free from all the artificial processing the white sugar undergoes. Coconut sugar is a natural product and is not obtained by refining.
Coconut sugar also balances electrolytes in the body as it is loaded with potassium, magnesium and sodium. The glycemic index (GI) measures the impact of carbohydrate-rich foods on your blood sugar levels. People with diabetes are said to consume foods with very low GI. While regular sugar has a glycemic index of 60-65, coconut sugar has just 35.

"“Lagom” in Swedish means “not too much, not too little, just right”. It is more of a lifestyle. It’s balanced, simple and mindful, just like the products we have created and want to create. We are a curated marketplace for all things made in Kerala to showcase the beauty and diversity of god’s own country. Our coconut shell products are locally handmade by an artisan using discarded coconut shells. Local women in Kerala make edibles. Hence, guaranteeing an authentic and traditional taste. All the products are made in small batches, thereby promising freshness. We want to have a large marketplace for all things sustainable. At team Lagom, we firmly believe that “sustainability should not be viewed as a burden, but simply as a set of different viable choices”."
